FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I access the registration forms for Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday classes?
Please fill out the contact form on our website and someone will reach out to you with a registration link if we have space in your child’s age group.

Which charter schools are you vendors for?
We are currently vendors for SunCoast Academy, Pacific Coast Academy, Cabrillo Point, and Mission Vista. We also provide receipts for reimbursement for Coastal Academy and Classical Academy for our in-person classes. Our team is LIVE SCANNED through the DOJ and FBI to participate with these charter services.

How do I use my charter school funds for your classes?
To use charter school funds, first register for the class through our online system. Once registered, you can request funds through your charter school's ordering system. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure timely ordering, as certificates must be received before the class start date.

Can I pay out of pocket for the classes?
Yes! We now have a NEW online ordering system that accepts debit or credit cards. You can also set up monthly payment plans for many of our classes and camps.

Does my child have to be homeschooled to attend your classes?
No! Any child can attend our classes as long as it fits their schedule.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens! However, because we hire staff and secure activity supplies in advance, we cannot offer refunds if your child is sick or on vacation. If a student discontinues monthly-paid classes before the end of the period, no refund will be given for the remainder of the month. If a charter institution halts funding, we cannot issue refunds. We do not offer makeup classes for sick days.

Your child’s spot is held until they stop attending. If you choose to leave, we will offer the spot to the next person on the waitlist for that age group.
My child has a runny nose (likely from allergies). Can they still attend?
No. If your child has any mucous discharge or has had a fever in the past 24 hours, please keep them home. We want to prioritize everyone’s well-being and ensure a safe learning environment.

If your child becomes unwell during class, we will text you for early pickup.
What happens if I’m late picking up my child?
We understand that delays happen—just text us if you’re running late! We use the time after class to reset for the next session. If pickup is more than 10 minutes late, we may charge $20 per hour (or partial hour). Truthfully, we’ve never needed to enforce this—we usually just put late-stayers to work helping us reset!

If I’m late dropping off my child, can I pay a reduced amount?
No. We keep things simple and do not pro-rate for late drop-offs. Just let us know, and we’ll welcome your child when they arrive!

Group Dynamics:
Some children take time to adjust to a new group setting, and that’s completely normal! However, if a child is consistently struggling to engage, participate, or cooperate, we may need to reevaluate their fit in the program. While we do our best to help every child succeed, we do not have the resources for one-on-one support for ongoing difficulties.

If you feel your child may need extra help transitioning, Mom & Me events are a great way to ease them in! We’ve seen this work wonderfully.
Do you have a wish list of items you need?
Yes! We often upcycle materials for projects. If you’d like to contribute, we welcome things like:

  • Aluminum pie tins, citrus (lemons/oranges), pom-poms
  • Beer-style bottle caps, corks, ping pong balls
  • Screwdrivers, hammers, sandpaper
  • Amazon/Michael’s gift cards
  • Clear glass canning jars, glass yogurt cups
  • Outgrown rain boots/Crocs
  • Paintbrushes, heavy 110# watercolor paper
  • Wooden/glass beads, clay pots
  • Feed store gift cards (Deer Springs Feed, Hawthorne Feed)
  • Essential oils (lavender, peppermint, tea tree, etc.)
  • Wet clay block
We never want to impose on parents, but we deeply appreciate any support! Some amazing moms have even helped us secure donations through Buy Nothing Facebook groups—such a blessing! If you have carpentry skills or other special talents, let us know!
Final Thoughts:
We have an incredible team that truly understands how to engage, empower, and inspire children. Our best form of marketing is word-of-mouth, and we’re so grateful for the wonderful community that has helped us grow over the past eleven years. Thank you for trusting us—we love what we do and look forward to serving you and your family!
