GREENHOUSE program

Waitlist Open!

Tuesdays or Fridays | 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Kindergarten | September to June
Specifically designed for our youngest learners, the Greenhouse Program offers all the best parts of Passport Days—farm animals, hands-on learning, and outdoor fun—at a pace and structure suited for this age group. With a smaller group size and added support, Greenhouse students grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity while getting their boots muddy alongside new friends.
It’s the perfect bridge into our full Passport Program, gently adjusting children to longer days, collaborative learning, and increased responsibility in a warm and encouraging environment.

Program Rhythm
Each Greenhouse day is structured around a gentle, thematic rhythm designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and joy in learning. While Passport students rotate through five structured classes, Greenhouse learners engage in experiences that flow naturally through their day:
  • Morning Invitation: An inviting hands-on activity that sparks curiosity and engages students the moment they enter the classroom.
  • Circle Time: A gathering to learn about the day’s topic, read a story, memorize monthly poetry, and learn chants and songs.
  • Theme-Based Project Time: A focused activity each week connected to the current weekly theme—encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration.
  • Animal Time: Gentle, age-appropriate interactions with farm animals that build confidence, care, and connection.
  • Physical Activity: Play-based movement, games, and exercises designed for young learners to build coordination, strength, and confidence while having fun.
  • Passport Connection Activity: After lunch, Greenhouse students join in an activity from the Passport program—helping bridge them into the older student structure and fostering a sense of belonging in the larger farm community.
Examples of Weekly Themes:
Garden Manners, Kindness, The 5 Senses, Water Science, Magnets, Bugs, Pumpkins, Nocturnal Animals, Leaves, Worms, Hibernation, Recycling, Dandelions, Space, Chickens, Frogs, Seasons, and Dairy & Mammals.

Program Highlights
Greenhouse is designed to give young learners a joyful and immersive farm experience in a safe, nurturing environment. Each class day is full of meaningful experiences and memorable moments:
  • Small class sizes with two dedicated and experienced teachers
  • Baby goats arriving each spring
  • Helping to raise baby chicks
  • Deeply hands-on learning with opportunities to move about the property and explore different spaces
  • Regular, high-quality take-home projects that reflect their learning and creativity
  • Rich, nature-based weekly themes that spark curiosity and wonder
  • Gentle routines that build confidence and independence
  • A warm, connected classroom community where children are known and cared for
Greenhouse lays the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning, community, and the natural world.
