Wednesdays | 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM(Optional Lunch Bunch 12:30–1:30 PM) Ages 3.5–5 | September to June Wednesday Farm Adventures is a gentle and engaging introduction to life on the farm for our youngest learners. Through a carefully structured morning rhythm, children are given the time, space, and support to explore, play, and discover the world around them. This half-day program is designed to nurture curiosity and confidence through hands-on experiences that spark joy and connection with nature.
Program Rhythm Each morning follows a gentle structure that balances freedom to explore with intentional learning experiences:
Free Choice Invitations (9:00–9:20): Children begin their day with open-ended invitations such as sensory play, mud kitchen, water beads, swing/slide play, or small animal interactions. These experiences allow them to ease into the day through natural curiosity and movement.
Themed Art Projects (9:20–10:00): Students work on creative projects that encourage exploration, science, engineering, and discovery. They experiment with mixed-media materials, build 3-D creations, and engage in special holiday, seasonal, and celebratory hands-on activities. Themes may include leaves, plants, volcanoes, egg dyeing, and caterpillars to butterflies.
Sharing Time (10:00–10:45): This learning time includes opportunities for students to share family stories, practice shapes, colors, and counting, enjoy related read-alouds and songs, and learn memory work such as poems and songs for gentle recitation.
Snack Time (10:45–11:15): A nourishing mid-morning snack often includes farm-fresh goat milk, fresh-squeezed juice, fruits, vegetables, and healthy carbohydrates. Students often help prepare snacks, building responsibility and practical skills.
Outside Farm Time (11:15–12:15): Children immerse themselves in the outdoors—investigating natural elements, exploring the farm, and engaging in seasonal activities. This may include nature walks, planting and harvesting, observing insects, caring for animals, fort building, or large motor games like water play when the weather allows.
Wrap-Up & Pick-Up (12:15–12:30): A gentle end to the morning where children clean up and reflect on their day before being picked up.
Optional Lunch Bunch (12:30–1:30): Families may extend their child’s day with a relaxed lunch hour and more time outdoors.
